Terms & Conditions

About Tyne Finery & Orders

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Tyne Finery Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16370401. These terms apply to purchases, personalised commissions and hire bookings made through tynefinery.com or agreed directly with Tyne Finery. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

ORDERS AND PAYMENT

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected goods or services subject to these terms. Your order is accepted when we send written confirmation.

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if a product is unavailable, we cannot meet the required date, supplied information is incomplete, the price or description contains an obvious error, or the requested design contains unlawful, offensive or unauthorised material.

Please contact us before ordering if your item is required for a particular wedding, event or delivery date. An order is not guaranteed for that date until confirmed by Tyne Finery.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery, collection or setup charges will be shown separately where relevant. Payment must be made using a method offered at checkout or stated on your quotation or invoice. Any deposit, staged payment or remaining balance for a bespoke commission or hire booking will be explained before the order is confirmed.

Personalised Orders, Delivery & Returns

PERSONALISED AND BESPOKE PRODUCTS

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including names, wording, dates, venue details, spellings, guest lists, sizes, colours and design preferences.

Where a design proof is provided, production will not normally begin until it has been approved. Your approval confirms that you have checked all wording, spelling, dates, layout and other supplied details. Tyne Finery is not responsible for errors that appeared in an approved proof or in information supplied by the customer. Changes requested after approval or after production has begun may not be possible and may incur an additional charge.

Natural materials may vary in colour, grain, texture or finish. Product photographs and digital proofs provide a fair representation, but reasonable variations are part of the bespoke nature of our work and are not normally considered faults.

PRODUCTION, DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

All made-to-order items are produced individually. Production times vary according to design, customisation and workload. Once complete, orders requiring delivery will be securely packaged and sent using a suitable delivery service. UK delivery is typically 1–3 working days after dispatch, with tracking provided where available.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control, but we will assist with delivery problems where possible. Local collection is available by appointment.

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

For most standard products ordered online, consumers normally have 14 days after receiving the goods to cancel. This right does not normally apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

Because many Tyne Finery items are bespoke, we may be unable to accept a cancellation or change-of-mind return once the design has been approved or production has begun. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described. If an item arrives damaged or appears faulty, please contact us as soon as possible. Reporting visible delivery damage within 48 hours, with photographs of the item and packaging, helps us investigate with the delivery provider. Failure to report within 48 hours does not remove your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Wedding & Event Hire, Legal Details

WEDDING AND EVENT HIRE

Hire products remain the property of Tyne Finery. A hire booking is not confirmed until we have confirmed availability in writing, received the required booking information and received any payment or deposit stated at checkout or in the quotation.

The customer must provide the correct event date, venue name, full address, postcode and access information. The customer is responsible for ensuring the venue permits the hired items and that safe, suitable access is available for delivery, installation and collection.

Once installed, hired items must not be moved, altered, attached to other structures or used for any purpose other than agreed without our permission. The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of hired items from delivery or setup until collection. We may charge the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing items that are lost, stolen or damaged beyond fair wear and tear while under the customer’s responsibility.

HIRE CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Requests to change an event date are subject to availability. If the replacement date is unavailable, the change may be treated as a cancellation. Personalised design work or made-to-order components already completed may be chargeable if a booking is cancelled. Any specific deposit or cancellation conditions will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

If Tyne Finery must cancel a hire booking and cannot provide a suitable alternative, payments made for the cancelled hire will be refunded. Nothing in this section limits any cancellation right applying under consumer law.

CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You confirm that you have permission to use any names, photographs, artwork, logos, wording or other material supplied to us. We may refuse material we reasonably believe is unlawful, offensive or unauthorised.

Original designs, artwork, photographs, product descriptions and website content created by Tyne Finery remain our intellectual property unless agreed otherwise in writing. Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the underlying design or permit commercial reproduction.

LIABILITY

Tyne Finery is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, errors in an approved design, venue restrictions, unsuitable access, events outside our reasonable control or use contrary to instructions.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

PRIVACY, CHANGES AND GOVERNING LAW

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms from time to time; the terms applying to an order will normally be those displayed or supplied when the order was placed.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory protections applying where they live.
